“Help in a Box” program, formerly “Doc in a Box”, began in 2011 as a call to action to help the Nkandla region of South Africa, which had the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world.
It was founded by Steve Bender who knew it was important to find a way to measurably improve conditions. ’Not just send a check but send a solution.
Since that date, the “Help in a Box” program has multiplied into many other projects/boxes.
The “Box” represents a project that can be duplicated by Rotary Clubs, Schools, NGO’s or individuals around the world to accomplish similar goals.
Together, we WILL make a difference, one box at a time.
